In some cases, guests might leave a tip or gratuity for a non-tech staff member via a cash or credit card transaction. For instance, you may want to provide your front desk employees or attendants to received tips/gratuity or retail commission.
To be able to assign a staff member (who is not a technician) a tip/gratuity or retail commission:
- Create a profile for the staff member from Staff > Staff Management > Technician Profile > Click Active > Click Add New Profile and complete the profile.
- Click the Service Profile tab and click Add Service Profile.
- Complete the Service Profile and do not enter any work schedule for the employee.
This ensures that the employee's name does not appear on the Scheduler.
- Click Finish.
The employee's profile is created and the employee's name will appear for selection in the POS screen. The operator then can select the name to assign the sale of retail products or gratuity/tip.
