A service charge is a fee typically associated with every service performed at the spa. In the event that you need to edit the service charge associated to the appointment, you can do so in the POS screen.
Note: The user must have the required security settings to perform a service charge override (Admin > System Settings > Security Settings > Select the user role > Click Front Desk > Select the Allow Service Charge Override permission).
After you check out the guest, follow the steps below to edit the service charge in the POS screen:
- In the POS screen, click Service Charge in the Payment section.
The Edit Service Charge window opens.
- Edit either the Service Charge Rate percentage, which applies to every service in the transaction, or edit the service charge for specific services by changing the Service Charge dollar value.
- Click Accept.
The Edit Service Charge window closes and the updated service charge and total appears in the POS screen.
