The My Calendar feature is a tool specially designed for technicians who have access to manage their appointments and reports.
Note: To activate this feature make sure the user profile for the technician is associated with a technician. Click here for steps.
When a technician logs in, they are automatically directed to their personal dashboard where they can manage their appointments (otherwise, click on My Calendar from the Home page).
With the sufficient security rights, technicians will also be able to edit and reschedule appointments for different days.
Each of the options in 'My Calendar' is controlled by the following security flags found under Admin > System Settings > Security Settings > Technician User Group > Appointments. Each of the security setting are explained below.
Edit Appointment Duration
Ability to edit the appointment duration (start, prep and clean-up time). When this flag is enabled, the technician can change the duration of the service. Click here for steps.
Edit Appointment Price
Ability to edit the service price for an appointment. When this flag is enabled, the technician can change the price of the service. Click here for steps.
Edit Appointment Service
Ability to change the service of an appointment or add more services. When this flag is enabled, the technician can change the service on the appointment and add more services. Click here for steps.
Edit Restricted to Own Appointments
Allows technicians to edit only those appointments belonging to the user (technician) logged in, restricting them from editing other technician's appointments. When this flag is enabled, the technician can edit the duration, price, and service of their own appointments.
Add Suggested Products
Allows technicians to easily select suggested retail products. A shopping cart icon will appear next to the appointment. Click here for steps.
Technicians can easily view their summary of appointments for any selected day including the total number of appointments, number of requests, non-requests, and total gratuity. As well, managers can use the existing Goal Tracking module to set up staff incentives where technicians can receive bonuses depending on their progress toward certain goals. When set up, technicians can view how many goals they have achieved and assess how much more they need to meet their objectives. See Goal Tracking for more details.
