This article is specifically for business accounts in regions where the law has strict restrictions on how taxes and fees (essentially service charge) are displayed on receipts.
For such accounts, if a guest demands a complete tax breakdown, then the option of providing the breakdown is available from the Point of Sale (POS) screen. The option is available when viewing the Full Page Receipt, Full Page Invoice, Email Receipt, or Print Receipts.
Important: The checkbox is available only when all tax groups have the “Tax included in price” setting enabled and has at least one “Hide on Receipt” tax enabled. Read: How do I create a new Tax Type?
To view or print the tax breakdown:
- Check out the guest.
- In the POS screen, click the Display Tax Details checkbox when previewing the receipt.
